Giulia Terzian (PI) is a Research Fellow at ArgLab-IFILNOVA. Her research focuses on the pragmatic-epistemic dynamics underwriting problematic communicative practices, and lies at the intersection of social philosophy of language and social and ethically-driven epistemology.

Marcin Lewiński is an Associate Professor at ArgLab-IFILNOVA and the Department of Communication at Universidade Nova de Lisboa. His research draws on philosophical theories of rationality, speech acts and disagreement to study the mechanisms and norms of public argumentation, with a focus on potential abuses of language in different social and political contexts.

Pedro Abreu is a Collaborating Researcher at ArgLab-IFILNOVA. He specialises in the philosophy of language, with a particular focus on metasemantics and interpretation. His recent research also explores the topics of conceptual engineering and metalinguistic disagreements, from both theoretical and applied perspectives.

André Santos Campos is an Assistant Professor at EpLab-IFILNOVA and the Department of Philosophy at Universidade Nova de Lisboa. His current research concentrates on issues that connect contemporary political theory with jurisprudence and intellectual history, such as representative democracy, human rights, and intergenerational justice.

Álvaro Dominguez-Armas is a Research Fellow at ArgLab-IFILNOVA. His research focuses on how the use of hate speech affects argumentation in the public sphere, and on political activism as seen from an integrated perspective that combines the conceptual resources of philosophy of language, argumentation theory and political theory.
